Science Manager / Career Counselor 

Lia Lang (1987*) was part of the founding team that successfully submitted an application to establish COAST, the first career service for postdocs at DESY in 2019. 

She led EU-funded international projects to strengthen diversity in academia and coordinated funding programs for postdocs. 

Lia is a certified career counsellor and moderator (artop, Humboldt Universität Berlin) with an academic background in Women & Gender Studies.

Lia's approach to career counselling is characterised by a creative methodology, a holistic perspective and an encouraging approach based on scientific research.
