DESY

DESY CONNECT is a young but constantly growing alumni network that is open to all former and current DESY employees and colleagues on campus. Here you can stay in touch with DESY and benefit from a lively community that is carried by the famous DESY spirit.
The EU Project Office (EUP) supports scientists at DESY in order to carry out EU projects successfully in all project phases - from the submission of proposals to the final report. Moreover, EUP is the central contact point at DESY for all questions and information concerning EU research funding.

The International Office is the central office and first contact point at DESY for foreign guests and their families. Our office is located in building 6 on the first floor, together with the housing and hostel offices.
The International Office is happy to assist you with all non-academic matters and give you support in all non-academic questions and diverse general information.
dynaMENT is a mentoring program for female researchers*. We use an established process-oriented method of supporting and advising, to help you develop your career in Natural Science and to find solutions to your career questions.

The PIER Helmholtz Graduate School (PHGS) is a joint graduate programme of Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron (DESY) and Universität Hamburg with support of the Helmholtz Association. Doctoral researchers benefit from outstanding research in the PIER research, competence fields and the emerging topic.
The DLR_Startup Factory team and the DESY Start-up Office are launching their ‘Future Innovators – A Helmholtz Transfer Academy’ programme.
HIDA – the Helmholtz Information & Data Science Academy – is Germany’s largest postgraduate training network in information and data science.
Top-level research needs leadership: The Helmholtz Academy supports you in realizing your full leadership potential.
LeNa is a brand for research with societal responsibility. It provides an overview of central approaches, fields of action and implementation options for sustainability management that explicitly take into account the special features of research organisations. Researchers can use practical tools to reflect on their own research process with regard to societal responsibility.

HAW Hamburg - go-2-prof:in - Recruitment and development of professorial staff at HAW Hamburg.
The workshop and event program (German and English) is aimed at all women with residency in Hamburg, specifically Pro Exzellenzia plus fellows, PhD students, post-docs and research assistants of all scientific disciplines, who are affiliated or employed at a Hamburg University or research institute. Some events are open for all genders.
Hamburg’s higher education institutions provide their doctoral and early career researchers with numerous opportunities to gain further qualifications. HRA offers interdisciplinary workshops and trainings and DESY Postdocs can attend the events for free.
The German University Association of Advanced Graduate Training (UniWiND/GUAT) is dedicated to the advancement of (post-) doctoral education and training.
